Daniel Laurence Logue, born July 15, 1931 in Turlock to Ruth Hazel Kern and William Brian Logue,Burberry Outlet Online, died on March 30, 2013 at the age of 81. Logue was patriarch of one of the first families to settle in Rohnert Park. He moved with his family from Delhi, CA to Sebastopol in 1943, where he went on to excel on the football and track and field teams at Analy High School. After graduating from Analy in 1949, Logue went on to Santa Rosa Junior College, where he played defensive tackle on the dominant 1949 and 1950 Bear Cub football teams. While at SRJC he was the sports editor for the Oakleaf newspaper, writing under the pen name 鈥淕rantland鈥?Logue. He continued his education at the University of Nevada-Reno and continued to play football. Logue was foreman for Codding Construction and in 1973 was hired as a building inspector by the City of Rohnert Park where he eventually rose to Chief of the Building Department. He retired in 1994 after 21 years of service. He helped found the first youth football program in the area. As a program administrator and head coach of the midget division College View/Rancho Cotate Pop Warner teams from 1962 through 1982. Logue was preceded in death by Betty Logue, his wife of 56 years; four children: Terry Logue (Fran), of Rohnert Park and Kevin Logue (Sue), of Fair Oaks,p90x, CA; Kathleen Beltz (Ralph) of Rohnert Park; and Tom Logue (Margaret); of Santa Rosa; sister Rose Hand, of Santa Barbara; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
